ZGF Architects is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team in our New York City office. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will...

  • Lead graphic design efforts within an integrated team of marketing and communications professionals, development marketing collateral, corporate identity systems, print and digital media, and other communications graphic design
  • Planning, time manage, and deliver graphic design work from concept through completion
  • Ensure quality control through approval of proofs, press checks, and testing of technology and materials before deployment of solutions
  • Interpret marketing and communications requirements to creatively design customized work and graphics to support the ZGF brand story and individual pursuit strategies
  • Make design decisions based on marketing feedback, branding guidelines, and overall vision of each pursuit
  • Develop, design, and creatively solve complex design challenges for print, presentation, and web
  • Update design knowledge by participating in educational and professional opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related design, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience
  • Background in the architectural field or communication graphic design is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, time management, project management, attention to detail, and leadership skills
  • Expertise in graphic tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop); PowerPoint is a must; working knowledge of database program Axomic OpenAsset is a plus
  • Ability to execute multiple complex projects and deadlines
  • Ability to lead and manage design efforts with minimal oversight
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to take multiple, occasionally disparate ideas, and distill them in to a clear and compelling graphics
  • Excellent storytelling skills
  • Experience in coordinating with vendors
  • Ability to create or refresh brands and identities
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; respond to and prioritize demands; be responsive to the time-critical nature of marketing, proposals, and interviews
  • Expertise in evolving technologies and software, printing techniques, color correction
  • Consistent pursuit of innovation to raise the bar
  • Able to travel to other ZGF offices and/or client project locations as needed

Base Salary Range

$94,000/yr - $115,000/yr
