ZGF is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team in our Portland, Los Angeles, or Seattle office. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure Team in support of our seven North American offices.  This includes leading and participating in the systems administration of our server, network, and M365 infrastructure and various related computer systems.  This position joins our other IT managers as a member of the broader Technology Leadership team, reporting to the Director of Information Technology.

As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will…

  • Take ownership of the daily operations and maintenance of all core technology such as Active Directory, Entra (Azure AD), Microsoft 365 and cloud applications, storage, virtualization, server hardware/software, disaster recovery, data centers, collaboration systems, security, and networking
  • Lead and mentor members of a firm-wide IT Infrastructure team of 3-4 members, consisting of network and systems administrators
  • Guide the IT Infrastructure team as a cooperative, hands-on leader
  • Contribute to developing an IT plan aligned with ZGF’s goals and strategic objectives; Lead IT Infrastructure team in planning and executing projects to support these goals
  • Assign and coordinate team objectives and resolve technical and procedural issues; Participate in troubleshooting and serve as point of escalation for support issues
  • Provide leadership in the planning, timing, and coordination of projects that extend over long periods of time and span multiple areas of expertise
  • Lead IT Infrastructure team in technical research and development to enable continued innovation aligned with ZGF’s architectural design practice and workflows
  • Develop and maintain firmwide policy, standards, and best practices; Document procedures, systems, and changes
  • Advise on and implement security systems and processes in partnership with the Director of Information Security
  • Perform human resources management for team members; Identify training and growth opportunities and evaluate performance
  • Manage portion of Technology budget allocated for IT Infrastructure
  • Provide on-call availability after hours and on weekends as needed

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in network and systems administration desired, or related relevant experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience desired, or related relevant experience
  • Excellent work ethic – timely, team-player, honest, dependable, conscientious, respectful, and accountable; Exhibit sound judgment and possess excellent communication skills
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; Organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous and ongoing tasks with high attention to detail
  • Sensitive and responsive to the time-critical nature of deadline-driven work
  • Experience designing and implementing complex technology solutions aligning with business goals
  • Experience designing, managing, and maintaining Active Directory domains, Entra, Azure, data networking, virtualization, storage, security, and related information systems
  • Experience designing, managing, and maintaining Microsoft 365 apps and services such as Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, and Intune
  • Strong understanding of modern security concepts
  • Able to occasionally travel to other ZGF offices as required for infrastructure support
  • Occasionally requires ability to lift and carry various technology equipment
  • (Preferred) Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry 
  • (Preferred) Professional certification

Base Salary Range

141,000/yr - $158.000/yr
